This listing is for a 2-site dropshipping, Amazon FBA, and ecommerce business package created in January 1995 in the health & personal care niche. In addition to selling products to consumers via a website and Amazon, this established business has both a government and an international supply contract in place.
The two sites are related, and have a high overlap with existing products and supplier mix. The main site was created in 1995 after a brick-and-mortar store transitioned to the web and was one of the first websites to feature an online shopping cart. The side of the business associated with this site brings in the majority of revenue. The second site was rebranded to the current niche in April 2013 and recently acquired by the Seller. This site receives a lot of organic traffic and helps reduce the main site’s reliance on the government contract and international contract.
The government contract was in place when the Seller purchased the business and was renewed until it maxed out the number of renewals and went out for bid. This business was re-awarded the contract in mid-2017 and expires mid-2019 with two 1-year renewal options after that. The contract will be transferred to the new owner and will be renewed if the new owner continues to fulfill the contract.
The current international contract began in December 2017 and is for a two-year period. Prior to that, the contract was in place for many years.
About 90% of orders are fulfilled by a third-party company, while the remaining percentage of orders are dropshipped. The inventory is held in the third-party company’s warehouse in the US.
The business employs a part-time operations manager and 2 VAs. The VAs may stay on with the Buyer if desired. The operations manager has expressed interest in staying on for the transition period, but would like to focus on other businesses. The VAs handle the bulk of the day-to-day tasks, so the Seller has primarily focused on the strategic direction of the business and checking in with the employees.
*Please note that one of the sites contains a number of products which are “adult” in nature. These SKUs have been removed from the P&L/price calculation for this business.
**Site traffic for the main site slightly decreased from a high in December 2016 due to the server company removing a redirect table for about 2 weeks. Another drop was caused by removing the Google Analytics tracking code during a security update.
***The second site’s traffic analytics were turned off by the previous owner in August 2017.
