Launched in 2015, this branded line of kitchen accessories is managed by one owner-operator who travels the world often. He has a remote staff of VAs that will transfer with the business, who handle the day to day operations. In the 2nd half of 2017 Amazon EU, UK and CA were added, and the new countries added $800,000 in revenue in less than six-months. Projected annualized revenues from these countries adds an additional $120,000 to the SDE. This brings the multiple down to less than 2.4x. Further reducing the effective multiple is the fact that 27 additional SKUs were added in 2017. Most are less than 6 months old brining additional built-in growth.
The branded line of products is what the owner calls “recession proof”. With a downturn in the economy, people eat out less and use more of these products. The owner had a three-year plan to build and sell the business and is following that plan.
