The business was created in January 2010 in the home & garden niche. With several streams of income, there are many opportunities to grow the business in any direction. The majority of revenue for this business currently comes from an online course with two options for membership, while the rest is earned through the sale of niche-related products. The seller is willing to maintain some presence as the face of the business in order to keep the branding consistent.

The info courses currently follow a specific launch strategy and most of the newer content (both video and written) are made around this launch.

Since the seller interview, the seller has now put together a small team of content creators, several of whom would be happy to continue for the new owner after the sale. This means the new owner definitely doesn’t have to be a subject matter expert to run this business.

The YouTube channel for this business has about 14.5k subscribers and the Facebook page has about 6.5k likes, so there is potential to utilize these assets to market to both existing customers and people interested in the niche. While Facebook has not seem to driven sales, there has been some traction in converting Youtube traffic into customers.

The business boasts 19,700 subscribers on its Aweber list that is not segmented and primarily monetized via selling an online course that opens three to four times per year using an email launch series. Every subscriber is put on a 13 week autoresponder to build value and relationship between the subscriber and brand to prime them for the launch of the product.
